Did you know?
The strength of glass is dependent upon the time of loading and surface condition of the glass.

Raw Material Composition

Knowledge of raw material composition and purity is critical to arriving at your desired final glass composition. American Glass Research Analytical Services has over 30 years of experience of providing our customers fast and accurate raw material analysis. Our capabilities allow us to completely characterize all of your batch materials, including electrostatic precipitator dusts and cullets. The key to obtaining accurate results lies within the quality of the standards utilized and the experience of the analysts.  American Glass Research houses an unrivaled library of glass standards developed over decades

of analytical work. Our chemists have extensive experience that ensures that your results are accurate each time, every time.

Raw material compositional analysis typically involves the use of X-ray Fluorescence (XRF) and Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP). Depending upon the requirements for certain elements the analysis can also involve atomic absorption (AA), Leco, Ion chromatography and/or gravimetric techniques.

Whether you are dealing with a routine confirmation or you are experiencing an unexpected priority issue, American Glass Research is ready to provide you with raw material compositional results you can rely upon. Our experts are more than willing to discuss your raw material compositional needs to ensure that all elements of concern are included in your analysis.
